What is this wiki about?
This wiki contains reviews on resources which are available that teach bash scripting. There are a variety of bash resources which have been reviewed
such as books, software, video training material, magazines and wikis.
Why is the purpose of this wiki?
The purpose of this wiki is to help new bash scripting learners to identify which resource/s they would like to learn from by trying to provide them with
enough evidence of the quality of training per resource and what to expect from them.
Why would this wiki be useful to me?
You may be a student with a time constraint and would like a quick resource which will teach you the level of detail you require for bash scripting.
Just looking for the resource itself can be very time consuming. You may find many resources out there but find that they require a fairly long time to
read/watch, or to actually absorb the information. This would not be very productive because a learner may start to read a few books and realise that
all of them will take a relatively long time to gain the knowledge which is expected to learn, this of course will be a waste of time. A new Linux user
may want to learn just one bash command, this can also be a very difficult situation, the command may only take several minutes to learn but to
find the command itself a user would not want to read a book containing six hundred or so pages. Our wiki's purpose is to do the hard work for
its users and to guide them in the right direction, identifying which resources are good for references to quick commands you require or an
advanced resource which will cover high detail in bash scripting to match your requirement.
